A recent poll created by Insights West shows the most respected professionals in Canada – conducted between May 26 and June 2, the survey looked at various career paths. The results were recently released and architects were included in the top 10 of the list, ranking 6th overall with 87% of responders saying they had a “very positive or somewhat positive” opinion towards the profession. Architects were amongst good company with nurses, doctors, scientists, farmers, veterinarians, teachers, engineers, accountants and dentists also making the top 10.

Recognize their contributions to the field and community by nominating them for the AIBC Professional Service Awards. There are three accolades – the AIBC Lifetime Achievement Award, the AIBC Special Certificate of Recognition and the Barbara Dalrymple Memorial Award for Community Service.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 1, 2017 by 4:30 p.m. PST. Nominations for AIBC Professional Service Awards are reviewed by the AIBC Recognition Committee, with nominations that meet the awards’ criteria recommended to and selected by AIBC Council.
