In Passing: Norman Joseph Metz Retired Architect AIBC

September 27, 2017

It is with much regret that the AIBC acknowledges the passing of Norman Joseph Metz Retired Architect AIBC at the age of 82.

Norman spent much of his early life in Saskatchewan, becoming a registered architect in 1960 after receiving his Master of Architecture from the University of Manitoba. After graduating and moving to British Columbia, he co-founded Killick Metz Architects, a firm which still operates today as KMBR Architects Planners Inc. After nearly 40 years of professional practice, Norman retired in 1994 and became a Retired Architect AIBC in 1996.

In his Obituary, he is remembered “for his kindness, integrity, intellect and quiet compassion.”

A service was held on September 26. Donations can be made in Norman’s memory to Covenant House.

Obituary and Guest Book.
