2017 Annual Firm Information Update: Thank you!

October 4, 2017

On September 13, the AIBC issued a reminder to Firm Administrators regarding the 2017 Annual Firm Information Update, including information on how to update your firm profile and this year’s deadline of October 13. To date, 48% have completed their firm information update. Thank you to those who have completed this important regulatory requirement!

As a reminder, the deadline to complete the firm information update is October 13, 2017. There are 52% of Firm Administrators who still need to update their firm profiles. The annual update is a requirement for all architectural firms, as prescribed in AIBC Bylaw 15.4. In addition, Bylaw 34.5, Council Rulings 34.5 (f) and (h), require architects (and firms) to respond promptly to all AIBC communications requiring a response, and to provide accurate contact information. Failure to complete the annual firm update as requested may constitute a disciplinary violation.

The AIBC uses the information provided during the firm update to issue annual fee invoices. Members can expect to receive their invoices during the week of November 20, 2017.

If you have questions regarding the 2017 Annual Renewal or firm information update, please visit the AIBC Annual Renewal FAQ webpage or contact AIBC Licensing Coordinator Kim Underwood at firmupdate@aibc.ca.
