The City of Vancouver is inviting development and construction industry members to participate in a planning process to create a Rain City Strategy, which will guide how rainwater is managed and used in Vancouver. The goal is to capture and treat 90% of the rainwater that falls in Vancouver using a combination of green infrastructure and conventional pipe systems on both public and private property.
The City of Vancouver is hosting an industry roundtable workshop on March 6 to discuss how to improve water quality, increase resiliency and enhance the livability of Vancouver through sustainable rainwater management.
There will be two sessions— one will focus on complex large site developments and the other session is geared towards small scale residential developments. Industry members can choose which session fits better with their business activities:
