Blueprint for Business is back on Friday, April 13, 2018! Recently updated, this popular course features refreshed content. Interested parties are encouraged to sign-up early as registration fills up quickly.
Registered architects and architectural technologists will earn six Core Learning Units (6 Core LUs). For Intern Architects AIBC, Blueprint for Business can be taken as one of the elective course options as part of the requirements for registration through the Internship in Architecture Program. The course is also suitable for all practitioners who want to learn more about starting their own company, or what it’s like to be a principle of a mid-to-large sized firm.
About Blueprint for Business
This full day course will walk you through all the steps – from the professional obligations of licensing a firm to the basics of setting up a practice. Understand the different client-architect contracts you will use and your minimum scope of service. Learn about client relations and firm marketing, as well as discuss the challenges and opportunities to successful ownership. Gain an appreciation for the capital required to maintain a small firm through the emergent years to prepare for a thriving, sustainable practice, and hear firsthand about what it is like to become a principal of a firm.
