The provincial government is developing a long-term clean growth strategy, which will be released in the fall. The strategy will bring together the action on climate change and work underway on the energy roadmap to drive sustainable economic growth with cleaner energy and fewer emissions. It will also be integrated with the province’s Economic Development Strategy, #BCTech Strategy, and Emerging Economy Task Force.
Public consultation on the first elements of the strategy began on Friday, July 20, with the release of four intentions papers:
- Towards a clean growth future for B.C.
- Clean, Efficient Buildings
- Clean Transportation
- A Clean Growth Program for Industry
Registrants of the AIBC are invited to join the discussion, review the intentions papers and provide their thoughts and ideas.
There are online blog discussions about buildings and transportation that will be open for the entire consultation period. Individuals who wish to send in additional information can email submissions to clean.growth@gov.bc.ca. Please note all email submissions will be posted publicly.
The consultation is open until August 24, 2018.
