Applications for the Fall 2018 Oral Reviews will be accepted starting on Thursday, August 2 until Tuesday, August 21. Oral Reviews are interview-based examinations that assess a candidate’s ability to practice architecture in British Columbia in accordance with local practice requirements.
The reviews are open to Intern Architects AIBC who have fulfilled both of the following criteria:
- Logged at least 2800 hours of approved work experience, preferably in all experience categories
- Completed all six required AIBC professional development courses
Oral Reviews are also open to Broadly Experienced Applicants (BEA) who have:
- Completed the Oral Assessment
- Completed all Oral Assessment panel recommendations and/or requirements
- Completed all six required AIBC professional development courses
Applications, along with a letter from the Supervising Architect and fees, must be received by Tuesday, August 21 at 4 p.m. After the closing date, AIBC Registration and Licensing staff will contact you to confirm your eligibility.
Oral Review Preparation Workshop
A free Oral Review Preparation Workshop will be offered on Monday, August 20 at 6 p.m. Attendance is highly recommended for all Intern Architects AIBC and BEA candidates preparing for their Oral Review. Supervising Architects and Mentors of intern architects are also welcome. Please RSVP in advance to reserve your seat as space is limited.
