AIBC Confab 2019 Registration Opens February 19!

February 5, 2019

The Architectural Institute of British Columbia invites you to bring your voice to the inaugural AIBC Confab – The Art of Conversation on May 7, 2019 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. This new one-day professional development event offers an interactive workshop, panel discussions, and seminars; all with the common goal of promoting conversation and a shared learning experience.

Confab Theme & Sessions

The art of conversation is more than a meeting of the minds where ideas, thoughts and experiences are shared. The real value in meaningful conversation is when something new is learned, when mindsets are reshaped and, ultimately, when a different perspective is gained.

Conversation is integral to the profession of architecture. Whether engaging in dialogue with fellow architects, local community groups, governments, or the public – conversations play a critical role in both the creation and advancement of the built environment by providing context, insight, and understanding. AIBC Confab will facilitate these types of conversations, from healthy debates to technical discussions.

Interactive Workshop

AIBC Confab will feature an interactive workshop: “The Future of Design Delivery”. This workshop will cover many of the new advancements within design technology and speak to the benefits of the advancements for practice. Cloud based collaboration and client commentary management will be additional features within the course to discuss the best practices for meaningful dialogue using simple technology. Attendees will gain knowledge to democratize seemingly complex technology and begin the road to structured data, allowing for architecture projects to be effectively communicated in a wide array of mediums.

For detailed information and to view the lineup of speakers, please visit the 2019 AIBC Confab website.
