Please be advised that the AIBC has retitled “GreenSheet” to “Discipline Notice”. In addition, an “Illegal Practice Notice” is now being introduced.
The AIBC publishes the outcomes of disciplinary matters. Years ago, documents were mailed to registrants on green paper, leading to the descriptive term “green sheet”. Since April 2007, the AIBC has sent out Greensheets over email. For clarity and accuracy purposes, the GreenSheet name is being retired and replaced with a new title: “Disciplinary Notices.” The content and purpose of the Notice stays the same – to share recent findings and admissions of unprofessional conduct by AIBC registrants. Disciplinary decisions will still be published on the AIBC website.
In addition, the AIBC is also introducing a new Notice: the Illegal Practice Notice. Currently, illegal practice resolutions are posted on the website, and certain resolutions are highlighted in GreenSheet publications (now Discipline Notices). Given that professional conduct and illegal practice are two separate matters, they will now be published independently. A dedicated Illegal Practice Notice is also in alignment with the AIBC’s public-interest mandate and strategic plan.
Recipients will also notice a new section in the AIBC’s monthly e-newsletter, Connected, titled “AIBC Professional Conduct & Illegal Practice Matters”. This dedicated section will include a summary of the recent resolutions and decisions from the Professional Conduct and Illegal Practice department.
