The 2020 Oral Review schedule is now available for Intern Architects AIBC and Broadly Experienced Applicant (BEA) candidates.
Those interested in taking the Oral Review are required to submit an application form between the specified registration period for each round. Following the application close date, AIBC staff will contact you to confirm your eligibility and assigned Oral Review date.
2020 Oral Review Schedule
Winter Oral Review Dates: March 10; March 12; March 17; March 18*
Application Open Date: Tuesday, January 14
Application Close Date: Tuesday, February 4 (at 4 p.m.)
Oral Review Workshop: Thursday, February 20 at 6 p.m.
Spring Oral Review Dates: June 17; June 18; June 23; June 25*
Application Open Date: Wednesday, April 22
Application Close Date: Wednesday, May 13 (at 4 p.m.)
Oral Review Workshop: Thursday, May 28 at 6 p.m.
Fall Oral Review Dates: September 23; September 29; October 1; October 4*
Application Open Date: Wednesday, July 29
Application Close Date: Wednesday, August 19 (at 4 p.m.)
Oral Review Workshop: Thursday, September 3 at 6 p.m.
* Depending on the number of applicants, supplemental Oral Reviews may be scheduled on March 18, June 25, and October 4 only if necessary.
Free Oral Review Preparation Workshops
The AIBC offers a free Oral Review Preparation Workshop before each round of Oral Reviews – attendance is highly recommended for all Intern Architects AIBC and BEA candidates. Supervising Architects and Mentors of intern architects are also welcome.
The workshops will take place on a specified weekday evening from 6 –7:30 p.m. Workshop dates are posted on the AIBC website – invitations to RSVP will be accepted starting from the application period open dates until the scheduled workshop date.
