Help recruit candidates for the next AIBC Council election – join the Council Recruitment Task Force (CRTF).
The AIBC is seeking three task force members-at-large, who are past council members or liaisons, to serve on the Council Recruitment Task Force (PDF). This short-term volunteer opportunity will take place between December 2020 and March 2021.
Members of the CRTF will use their ability to network with a wide range of Architects AIBC to promote the unique opportunity to serve on AIBC Council. The CRTF will actively seek and recruit candidates to participate in the 2020 council election nomination process.
The CRTF has been created to ensure autonomy of the candidate recruitment and evaluation processes; the work of recruiting council candidates has been transferred from the Nominations Review Committee to the Task Force.
The CRTF plays a pivotal role in promoting registrant involvement in self-governance, thereby contributing to AIBC Council delivering on the Institute’s mandate.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Participate in orientation;
- Recruit potential candidates for council;
- Support potential candidates to be well-versed and participate in all of the required call for nominations processes; and,
- Deliver a roster of at least 6 potential council candidates for review by the Nominations Review Committee.
Volunteer Profile Requirements:
- Be an Architect AIBC or Retired Architect AIBC in good standing;
- Have an appreciation and understanding of AIBC’s core regulatory mandate;
- Have served as an AIBC Council member, with an associated understanding of the policy governance model; and,
- Articulate a willingness to satisfy the specific assignments of the CRTF (see section 2.0 of the Terms of Reference).
Time Commitment:
- December 2020 to March 2021 – duties will take place based on the availability of the members to independently satisfy the CRTF responsibilities.
