Only Two Weeks Left to Submit an AIBC Council Member Nomination

March 4, 2021

Nominations for the 2021 AIBC Council election close on March 18, 2021 at 4 p.m.

Joining AIBC Council is an opportunity to help shape the work of the public-interest body responsible for regulating the profession of architecture in British Columbia. If you’re interested in getting involved with the governance of the Institute, contact a member of the Council Recruitment Task Force at councilrecruitement@aibc.ca.

Prospective candidates are also requested to carefully review the 2021 Council Election Candidate Information Package (PDF). package includes submission instructions, the nomination and evaluation processes, and all relevant forms. Candidates must also schedule and attend an interview on either March 30 or 31, 2021 to be eligible for endorsement by the Nominations Review Committee. It is highly recommended nomination material be submitted as early as possible to secure an interview slot.

2021 Key Dates

  • March 18: Call for Council Member Nominations closes at 4 p.m.
  • March 30–31: Candidate interviews with the Nominations Review Committee
  • April 1: The names of all candidates are announced
  • April 27 to May 25: Council election e-voting period
  • May 25: Election results announced at the 2021 Annual Meeting
