As announced on December 1, 2020, AIBC Standard Contract Authorization Stickers will be discontinued and no longer required as of July 1, 2021.
As of today (May 6, 2021), AIBC 8C and AIBC 6C stickers can be used interchangeably, on any AIBC Contract (AIBC 6C-2007 : Standard Form of Contract 6C Between Client and Consultant, AIBC 8C-2020: Standard Short Form Contract Between Client & Consultant, and AIBC 8C-2020 Chinese Language Edition: Standard Short Form Contract Between Client & Consultant), until June 30, 2021.
As of July 1, the stickers will be discontinued and no longer required to execute AIBC Standard Form contracts. All AIBC Standard Form Contracts and their associated Practice Guidelines will be updated and reissued, effective July 1, 2021, to reflect the discontinued stickers.
This change to sticker policy affects AIBC authorization stickers only – all other externally provided authorization stickers (CCDC copyright stickers) will still need to be purchased at a cost. The AIBC will continue to be a CCDC document outlet.
AIBC Authorization Stickers will still be required on AIBC contracts until June 30, 2021. Both stickers can be used interchangeably on any contract.
