AIBC Confab 2021 Recap

June 1, 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended AIBC Confab 2021! The virtual event took place over two half-days, on May 10 and 11. This was the first time the AIBC hosted its annual professional development event online, and we were delighted to have more than 300 Architects AIBC, associates, staff and stakeholders join us.

The event began with the opening plenary, “We are Called to be Architects of the Future”, presented by Radha Mistry. Following the inspiring presentation, a variety of learning opportunities took place, including 15 sessions and an interactive workshop. The event closed with Daan Roosegaarde’s plenary presentation “Landscapes of the Future”.

Here are a few comments from AIBC Confab 2021 attendees:

“I am always inspired by the progressive nature of the lectures and how the sessions promote ideas to improve our practice and projects.”

“The event was a reminder of why we are architects – the ability to use our design and collaborative abilities to envision and lead a bright but complex future.”

“Radha Mistry and Daan Roosegaarde were great speakers – intelligent, articulate and thought-provoking.”
