Seven Months Left until the CES Deadline

December 1, 2021

There are only seven months left until the Continuing Education System (CES) deadline of June 30, 2022! CES Participants (Architects AIBC, Architectural Technologists AIBC, and Intern Architects AIBC) must earn and report 36 Learning Units (LUs) before the deadline.

On December 1, the new AIBC Registrant Portal launched, featuring a new CES interface. The AIBC encourages registrants to become familiar with the new system, particularly given the upcoming CES deadline. Below is an overview of some of the new CES functionalities in the Registrant Portal.

New CES Interface in Registrant Portal – Key Functionalities

All CES Participants can view their CES Transcript for the 2020 – 2022 Reporting Period by following the steps below:

  • Login to the AIBC Registrant Portal
  • Select “Continuing Education System” from the left-hand side menu
  • In the dropdown, select “Transcript”

Through the intuitive, user-friendly interface, CES Participants can immediately identify if they have met their period requirements by the “completed” or “incomplete” label, which can be seen directly under the CES Period title.

The Transcript section also features a summary table of progress thus far, including a breakdown of the requirements that are complete and/or incomplete.

In addition to the above, CES Participants can view all the activities that have already been reported, organized in three categories: AIBC-Delivered, AIBC-Recognized, and Self-Reported. CES Participants can rest assured that all continuing education activities reported for the period in the previous database have been migrated into the new system.

Registrant Portal Quick Guides are also available to help navigate all the CES features and administrative functions:

  • Review a CES Reporting Period Transcript
  • Submit a Self-Reported Educational Activity
  • Submit a Declaration for Out-of-Province CES Compliance

All CES Participants are encouraged to login to this new registrant portal as soon as they can to explore the new interface and review their CES progress for the upcoming reporting period deadline.
