BUILDEX 2023: February 15, 16

BUILDEX Vancouver 2023 is taking place in-person at the Vancouver Convention Centre on February 15 and 16. Event attendees will hear from industry experts and learn more about future construction, design and property management trends, as well as explore new products, materials, technologies, and services changing the built environment. Key themes for 2023 include future work, carbon reduction and wellbeing, and digitization and industrialization.

The AIBC is a lead supporting organization of BUILDEX 2023. All AIBC registrants are eligible to receive a 10% discount on any pass type. AIBC Supported Sessions at BUILDEX Vancouver

Session: Regulatory Changes for Architecture in B.C.
Date: Wednesday, February 15
Time: 1– 2 p.m.
Presenters: Thomas Lutes, Lawyer (Private Practice) and General Counsel/Deputy CEO of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and Maura Gatensby Architect AIBC, Lead Practice Advisor and Regulatory Liaison

This session will examine how the transition from the Architects Act to the Professional Governance Act will affect the profession of architecture in the province, the building and design industry, and the public. The session will also provide clarity as to when an architect is required by law.
