New CERB functionality has been launched and is now available in the AIBC Registrant Portal. For Intern Architects, this will provide a more efficient and transparent process as the entire CERB workflow is now online, meaning users can see the progress of their submissions from start to finish in the Portal.
This new functionality is beneficial for all those involved with the CERB process, including Intern Architects, Supervising Architects, Mentors, and Experience Reviewers. To help users become more familiar with the new functionality, video tutorials have been created. An overview of the features can be found below:
Intern Architects AIBC
With the new functionality, Intern Architects AIBC are now able to see more detailed status emails that will inform them when their CERB submission has been:
- approved by the Supervising Architect
- approved by the Mentor and submitted to the AIBC
- assigned to the Experience Review Advisory Group
- approved, returned for correction or rejected by the Experience Review Advisory Group
A video tutorial for Intern Architects is available, which provides an overview of the new features.
Supervising Architects and Mentors
Supervising Architects and Mentors will now see status emails that will identify the name of the Intern Architect submitting a CERB. The most significant change for Supervising Architects and Mentors is that the CERB must be resubmitted and approved by the Supervising Architect and Mentor if returned for correction by the Experience Review Advisory Group. This is consistent with previous manual submission of CERBs.

Experience Reviewers
For Experience Reviewers, the new CERB process is much simpler. Similar to the Supervising Architect and Mentor, the Experience Reviewer will receive a status email once assigned a CERB for review. In addition to being able to save comments, the new functionality also allows Experience Reviewers to Approve, Return for Correction, or Return for Rejection, all within the Registrant Portal.
