AIBC Board Acclamation
The AIBC is pleased to announce that three Architects have been nominated to serve on the AIBC Board. Three nominees submitted their application to the Nomination Committee for the four available Board positions, in accordance with the Professional Governance Act and AIBC Bylaws. As there are four vacant Board positions, there will be no election this year, and the below individuals will be elected by acclamation for three-year terms. Nominee Statements are available for review on the AIBC website.

Submit an Application for the AIBC Board Vacancy
The upcoming Board vacancy will be filled with a temporary appointment in accordance with the process and selection principles specified in the Professional Governance Act and AIBC Bylaws. The Nomination Committee is now accepting nominee applications for the Board vacancy. The application deadline is April 30, 2024. Instructions on how to submit a nomination can be found on the AIBC website.

105th Annual General Meeting Registration Now Open
Registration for the 105th Annual General Meeting is now open and closes on May 27, 2024. Those interested in attending must register online. Registration information will be used to record Learning Units for CES Participants, as well as verify Registrant eligibility to vote during the Annual General Meeting in accordance with AIBC Bylaws.

Register to attend the 105th Annual General Meeting
Final Days to Register for AIBC Conference 2024: Act
Friday, April 12 is the last day to register for the in-person programming at AIBC Conference 2024: Act! This multi-day professional development event features nearly 30 sessions, including keynote speakers, a plenary presentation, and panel discussions. This is a great opportunity to meet CES requirements before the upcoming June 30, 2024 deadline – attendees can earn up to 17.25 Core and 1.5 Non-core Learning Units by attending the event. In addition to satisfying the Core LUs, there are multiple sessions available that are eligible for the AIBC’s new CES Indigenous Peoples Learning requirement.
