The AIBC is pleased to report the results of the 2025 Certified Professional (CP) course. The CP course was administered by the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and consisted of 12 full-day seminars, mostly held online with several in-person sessions and site visits. The course concluded with four 3.5-hour exams, which took place on April 30 and May 7, 2025.
The CP course is intended for architects, engineers and others with a strong knowledge of Canadian building codes and experience in the building construction industry wishing to advance their building code knowledge. Architects AIBC and Professional Engineers who pass the exam and meet the other course criteria can practice as CPs. The successful Intern Architects AIBC and Engineers-In-Training (EIT) will be able to practice as CPs when they become registered.
