The BC Ministry of Infrastructure is seeking input on the recently introduced Infrastructure Projects Act. The Act aims to speed up decisions on critical infrastructure projects so communities can get the services they need faster, without reducing environmental standards or compromising the province’s obligations to First Nations.
How to participate
Engagement will happen in a series of steps over the summer and fall of 2025 and early spring 2026. As policies are developed for the new Act, three main topics will be focused on: Provincially Significant Projects; Qualified Professional Reliance Model; and Expedited Environmental Assessment Process.
- Participate in the Provincially Significant Projects Survey (Deadline: September 30)
- Participate in the Proposed Qualified Professional Reliance Model Survey (Deadline: October 31)
