There have been several changes at the Building Code Appeal Board, which are outlined below:
New Rules of Practice and Procedure
The Board has developed and implemented Rules of Practice and Procedure. The Rules are designed to ensure the fair and timely resolution of appeals. They aim to enhance transparency regarding Board operations and provide procedural clarity for both appellants and local authorities.
New Application Form
In alignment with the new Rules, the Board has updated the Appeal Application Form. The fillable form is available for use on the Building Code Appeal Board website, and previous versions should be discarded.
Meeting Schedule, Application Deadlines
Meetings remain the same, and continue to be scheduled for the first and third Thursdays of each month. Applications received no later than 15 calendar days prior to each meeting will be reviewed at the next scheduled meeting.
