The BC Building Code Certified Professional (CP) Guide and provincial CP Schedules have been updated, and are now available on the AIBC website.
An overview of the amendments can be found below:
- Inclusion of Professional Licensee Engineering (P.L.Eng.): with an authorized area of reserved practice that includes Division A, Division B Parts 1 and 3, and Division C of the Building Code as a designation under the CP Program.
- Addition of AIBC-EGBC issued CP Schedules: CP-1, CP-2, CP-3, CP-4 and CP-4A. These Schedules have been republished in a general template that can be used by any municipality, to replace the previous versions which were specific to each AHJ. The new Schedules are to be used for all new projects moving forward, as the previous versions have been retired. Optional CP-4 and CP-4A schedules have also been published for AHJs that are already using these schedules, to ensure that an approved AIBC-EGBC version is available.
- Minor administrative amendments: including updated references and related documents (specifically in Section 10.0)
