The Architectural Institute of British Columbia was pleased to host more than 500 Architects AIBC, associates, staff and stakeholders at the 2018 AIBC Annual Conference. Held at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, the event took place from May 7–9. Architectural professionals from across B.C. and beyond explored the many interpretations of this year’s theme: Spaces Between.
With more than 20 speaking events covering a wide range of topics, delegates were able to attend seminars, panel discussions and evening gatherings, including the movie night presentation of the documentary Big Time. Highlights included the 99th Annual Meeting, keynote presentation by Charles Walker, Director of Zaha Hadid Architects, and plenary session from John Bela on Vancouver’s public life and space.
“This was one of the best sessions I’ve ever attended. High quality, educated, experienced speaker and very informative!”
