A disciplinary inquiry is a formal hearing by a Disciplinary Committee into the charges against an AIBC registrant that have been approved by AIBC Council. A Disciplinary Committee is comprised of three or more members of AIBC Council, and is a separate entity from the Investigations Committee.
At an inquiry, the AIBC and the respondent present evidence, call and cross-examine witnesses, and make arguments about the case. Inquiries are open to the public and those interested in attending are asked to confirm their attendance in advance via email.
Further information about AIBC professional conduct and disciplinary processes, including current disciplinary decisions and remedial recommendations, and how to file a complaint, can be found on the AIBC Professional Conduct webpage.
The AIBC also publishes recent summaries of illegal practice resolutions involving individuals and companies not registered with the AIBC, which can be found on the AIBC Illegal Practice webpage.
