2020 Spring Oral Review – Applications Now Being Accepted

Applications for the 2020 Spring Oral Review are being accepted from April 22 until May 13, 2020. The application form and additional information can be found on the AIBC website.

The next round is tentatively scheduled for June 17, 18, and 23. Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AIBC is not yet able to confirm that the June Oral Reviews will go ahead as planned. Any changes to the schedule will be shared directly with candidates as soon as possible.

Oral Review Requirements

Oral Reviews are interview-based examinations that assess a candidate’s ability to practice architecture in British Columbia in accordance with local practice requirements.

The reviews are open to Intern Architects AIBC who have fulfilled both of the following criteria:

  • Logged at least 2800 hours of approved work experience, preferably in all experience categories
  • Completed all six required AIBC professional development courses

Oral Reviews are also open to Broadly Experienced Applicants (BEA) who have:

  • Completed the Oral Assessment
  • Completed all Oral Assessment panel recommendations and/or requirements
  • Completed all six required AIBC professional development courses
