Inclusivity and supporting diversity have been long-standing and ongoing initiatives at the AIBC, and are embedded in the core values and strategic goals of the Institute. The AIBC is continuing its work to reduce unnecessary barriers to registration, as well as invest and support equity initiatives within our regulatory mandate.
The AIBC is now sharing an opportunity for Registrants to participate in a survey that is being facilitated by the Architecture Foundation of British Columbia (AFBC) and administered by Stratcom, an independent, third-party consultant. The AFBC 2023 Architecture Industry Demographics Survey has been prepared to gather more information about the architectural industry relative to demographics across three categories: financial compensation, barriers & opportunities, as well as satisfaction & effectiveness. The survey findings will be used to guide and plan the advocacy work of the AFBC.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and is completely voluntary and confidential. Open until September 2023, the survey can be completed by anyone working in the architecture industry, including all AIBC Registrants, building designers, and anyone working at an architectural firm. The results will be publicly available in late 2023.
