Metro Vancouver is hosting two Climate Action Dialogues in November.
The Climate Action Dialogues explore the economic case, and challenges and opportunities from decarbonizing the region’s buildings. Buildings are a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions, second in this region only to personal vehicles.
Metro Vancouver’s Climate 2050 Buildings Roadmap outlines the strategies and actions for all homes and buildings to be zero emissions and resilient by 2050. Decarbonizing buildings requires awareness and support from residents, and bold action by businesses, investors, governments, and other community leaders.
There are two sessions, one taking place in North Vancouver on November 21, with the second taking place in New Westminster on November 22. The event is also being livestreamed. More information about the Climate Action Dialogues, including registration details, can be found on their website. If you have any questions, please email Sandy Young at sandy.young@metrovancouver.org.
