The Annual Renewal cycle is currently underway, with the Firm Update being completed on September 30, and the Fee Billing coming up in a few weeks. Below are some important updates and reminders about the Annual Renewal cycle:
2023 Firm Update
More than 10 percent of firms still need to complete their Firm Update, and have received a late fine for not completing this mandatory regulatory requirement by the September 30 deadline. Notifications have been distributed, and the remaining firms have until November 15 to complete the Firm Update in order to avoid further action. Instructions on how-to complete the update can be found on the AIBC website.
Annual Fee Invoicing
This year, Annual Renewal invoices are scheduled to be sent by the end of November or early December. In preparation for invoicing, Registrants are being asked to review and update their individual profile information in the Registrant Portal.
Registrants need to ensure the following is accurate:
- Basic personal contact details, including primary phone number, cell phone and email.
- Current employment contact details, including work phone number and email.
- Administrative email (to receive regulatory notices including annual renewals)
Firm Access to Registrant Portal
The AIBC is working on providing year-round access to firms, which is anticipated to be launching this month. This will allow firms to update their information through the Registrant Portal. More information will be shared once available.
