The Architecture Foundation of BC’s IDEA Committee, UBC SALA, and BCIT are hosting a workshop on Thursday, September 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. for Architects and Intern Architects who are interested in being studio reviewers.
The workshop will cover the evolving role of critics in design education. Design schools are no longer seeking profound wisdom from outside critics, but rather need individuals who are passionate about helping students transform their aspirations into compelling, lucid design concepts.
Attendees will learn about the evolving role of critics and how to improve feedback skills to become a more effective reviewer. The workshop is open to those who are new to the process, as well as those looking to improve their feedback skills.
Drinks and snacks will be provided.
