Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day of learning, listening, commemoration, and reflection. Orange Shirt Day also takes place on September 30.
Over the past several years, the AIBC has compiled a list of Truth and Reconciliation resources for staff to continue their learning about the experience of Indigenous peoples in Canada. The list of resources has been updated and expanded for 2024, and includes websites, articles, videos, courses, and events. Please note the list is not exhaustive, and you way wish to research additional learning sources.
All Registrants, AIBC staff, and the public are encouraged to give thought to their own commitment towards truth and reconciliation.
AIBC CES Participants in search of activities eligible for the Continuing Education System (CES) Indigenous Peoples Learning requirement should refer to the Continuing Education: Indigenous Peoples Learning resource or contact professionaldevelopment@aibc.ca to confirm event or activity eligibility.
