Applications for the Michael A. Ernest AIBC Intern Architect Bursary are being accepted from March 15 to April 16, 2018. This bursary, which is a $1,000 credit at the AIBC, is awarded to an Intern Architect AIBC who is in good standing, and has demonstrated the financial need and intention to become a registered Architect AIBC. Attention BC Building Code Users – please see below information from the Building and Safety Standards Branch: The Honourable Selina Robinson, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, has approved changes to the 2012 BC Building Code effective January 31, 2018. These changes constitute Revision 12 of the 2012 BC Building Code and are available online. The changes concern Letters of Assurance and a number of other Code revisions. Read more

This joint member advisory is a follow-up to the advisory issued on May 24, 2017 regarding Ministerial Order M158. This new advisory concerns Ministerial Order M013 and the Buildings and Safety Standards Branch (BSSB) Information Bulletin No. B18-01.
