The Conference Professional Development (PD) Committee is searching for creative and innovative individuals with knowledge of evolving architectural trends to join the Conference Professional Development (PD) Committee. If you want to get more involved with the profession and are interested in helping shape one of the largest events for architects in British Columbia, this volunteer opportunity is a great way to contribute.
The committee plays a significant role in planning, strategizing, and curating the professional development content for AIBC Conference and Confab. This includes helping select the keynote and session speakers, liaising with presenters, and reviewing submitted material from the Call for Submissions. In addition to PD programming, committee members assist with stream planning and the development of session descriptions.
This is a great opportunity to guide, inspire and influence a longstanding event in the architectural community, as well as network with fellow architects in British Columbia. All AIBC committee volunteers are eligible to receive Non-core Learning Unit credit for their service.
Time Commitment
- Committee meetings are every two weeks on Mondays at 12 p.m. from September through April
- Meetings are held at the centrally located AIBC office and teleconferencing is available
- Volunteers receive complimentary parking and lunch during committee meetings
