With the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and implementation of physical distancing measures, there has been significant impacts on the delivery of continuing education opportunities, with many sessions being cancelled, postponed, or moved online. To support registrants in meeting their continuing education requirements during these unprecedented times, the AIBC issued a call to compile a list of additional online learning opportunities that are currently available to CES Participants.
The Online Learning Opportunities Roundup (PDF) is now available for registrants to view. The list consists of more than 35 different online opportunities through which CES Participants can earn Learning Units. The document will continue to be updated as more learning activities become available. Some examples of topics currently covered include:
- Building Code;
- Energy Modelling; and
- Risk Management.
These opportunities are offered through the AIBC’s Recognized Educational Provider (REP) program – this means that after successful completion of the online activity, the LUs will be recorded by the AIBC on behalf of the registrant, and registrants will not need to self-report.

We encourage registrants to continue visiting the AIBC website and events calendar, as well as read the monthly e-newsletter (Connected), to find the latest information regarding the AIBC’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and impacts on programs and services.
