The next online course is now available in the AIBC Course Portal: Professional Practice Standards and Ethics (previously ‘Ethics, Act and Bylaws’). The AIBC has been adapting all four of the mandatory courses to an online and on-demand platform, and released the first two courses, Architects and the Law and Construction Administration, in 2022.
Professional Practice Standards and Ethics Course Overview
The Professional Practice Standards and Ethics course provides an overview of the Professional Governance Act and AIBC Bylaws, including the Institute’s mandate and regulatory functions. It also provides an overview of the 10 Professional Standards found in the AIBC Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. The course features activity-based learning strategies, and involves the same level of engagement as in-person offerings.
Registrants can access the Professional Practice Standards and Ethics course through the Online Course Portal. Please note that you will be required to create an account if this is the first time you are registering for an online course.
AIBC Online Courses: Next Steps
The final course to be launched is the BC Building Code course, which will be available for registration early 2024.
