Session 1 | Introduction to Digital Seals
As organizations move from paper to electronic filing, one of the key challenges in this digital transformation is the authentication of these files. This presentation will introduce AIBC’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, Professional Standard 8 (8.1 – 8.6). Attendees will also be introduced to the requirements under the Electronic Transactions Act of B.C., which underpins the use of professional digital seals in the province. The key ingredients of electronic document reliability, the different types of e-signature solutions available and the varying levels of reliability of each will be discussed.
Attendees will also be presented with an in-depth demo on how to use the seal.
