Less than One Month Left Until the CES Deadline of June 30, 2026

June 3, 2026

AIBC-registered Architects, Architectural Technologists and Intern Architects are reminded that the AIBC Mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) 2024–2026 reporting period deadline is Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

The requirement to comply with the CES is outlined in AIBC Bylaw 5.10. CES Participants who do not earn and report the minimum required Learning Units (LUs) by the deadline will be subject to the non-compliance process outlined in AIBC Bylaws 5.14–5.24.

Review Your CES Transcript

CES Participants are encouraged to review their transcripts to confirm their status and determine whether they have met their reporting period requirements. To access your transcript, log into the AIBC Registrant Portal and select “Continuing Education System” from the left-hand side menu, and then select “Transcript” from the drop-down menu. CES Participants can identify if they have met their period requirements by the “completed” or “incomplete” label displayed directly under the CES Period title.

Note that your CES requirements may be different depending on when you registered with the AIBC. Individuals can log into their Registrant Portal to confirm their requirements, including their CES deadline.

Indigenous Peoples Learning

Two Core LUs related to knowledge on Indigenous history, Truth and Reconciliation, and/or engagement (‘Indigenous Peoples Learning’) must be earned every reporting period. A list of eligible activities can be found in the Indigenous Peoples Learning Resources (PDF) document, which can be self-reported upon completion. When self-reporting these activities, select “Core” and then “Indigenous Peoples Learning” from the drop-down menu, to ensure they are properly applied toward the requirement. This requirement applies to all CES Participants, including those who choose to fulfill their requirements through the Canadian reciprocity option.

CES Resources & AIBC Contact

The AIBC provides a variety of resources and opportunities to help CES Participants fulfill their obligations every reporting period, including:
