The 2026 Firm Update concluded on September 30.
Nearly all Firms (96%) submitted their update by the deadline, which means that 4% still need to confirm or update their information. Instructions on how to complete the update can be found on the AIBC website.
Completing the annual update by the deadline is mandatory for all architectural Firms under AIBC Bylaw 4.44. Those who failed to complete the firm update by the deadline are no longer in Good Standing and will incur a fine of $110 (plus taxes), and may be referred to the AIBC’s Professional Conduct Department. A fine will not be charged against those who reported technical difficulties prior to the September 30 deadline.
The AIBC uses the information provided during the firm update to issue accurate annual fee invoices. No firm size changes for 2027 billing will be accepted after submitting the firm update, except those requiring approval by the Credentials Committee, such as changes to firm name and/or firm type.
Registrants can expect to receive their invoices near the end of November.
