In November 2016, a call went out to AIBC members to participate in the 2017 International Young Architect Workshop, a six day event which took place in Shenzhen China from January 14–19. Members Approve Professional Liability Insurance Bylaws
The AIBC’s proposed Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) Bylaws put forward for electronic vote received overwhelming approval from the institute’s voting members, with 80.2 per cent of voters in support. The requisite 2/3 support for the bylaws was achieved. Read more

Call for Nominations: Professional Service Awards
A recent poll created by Insights West shows the most respected professionals in Canada – conducted between May 26 and June 2, the survey looked at various career paths. The results were recently released and architects were included in the top 10 of the list, ranking 6th overall with 87% of responders saying they had a “very positive or somewhat positive” opinion towards the profession.
