The AIBC is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Summer Professional Development Series! Taking place every Wednesday in June, the sessions will focus around the development of a national architecture policy and the future of the profession in Canada. This monthly PD Series is presented in a convenient lunch and learn format, offering participants an informative and engaging way to earn Core Learning Units.  Read more

AIBC Council has established a Motions Review Committee to assist the Institute with the Member’s Forum portion of the upcoming AIBC Annual Meeting on May 6, 2019. Architects interested in contributing to this engaging aspect of the registrant-Institute dialogue are invited to submit their expressions of interest by April 18, 2019.  Read more

The 2019 AIBC Council Election is coming up! The e-vote will open on April 15 at 9 a.m., and close on May 6 at 12 p.m. Six members have put their names forward as nominees for the five positions in the upcoming AIBC Council election.  Read more

Only a month and a half left until May 6! The AIBC will be hosting its 100th Annual Meeting, as well as a centenary reception in recognition of the Institute’s decades of regulation on Monday, May 6. The next day, the Institute will present the inaugural AIBC Confab 2019: the art of conversation.  Read more

On March 12, 2019, AIBC Council approved revised Council Rules 5: Continuing Education System (CES) and revised Council Rules 6: Designation and Admission Qualifications for AIBC Associates, as well as proposed Council Rules 9: Formation and Administration of Chapters. All three affected council rules had the same notification period dates, from January 16 to February 15, 2019.  Read more
