Role Call: Tariff of Fees for Architectural Services Update Project

May 31, 2018

The Institute is seeking Architects AIBC and Retired Architects AIBC to submit expressions of interest to participate on six task forces working on the Tariff of Fees for Architectural Services (“Tariff”) Update project. Each task force will be composed of three to six members, reviewing research material and recommending appropriate content for the revised tariff. Candidates may apply for more than one category.  Read more

Final Month until the June 30, 2018 CES Deadline

AIBC-registered architects and architectural technologists are reminded that the next AIBC Mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) reporting period deadline is Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. CES Participants have only one month remaining to earn and report a total of 36 Learning Units (LUs) for the July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2018 period.  Read more

2018 AIBC Council Election Results

May 7, 2018

Council elections results were announced during the May 7 Annual Meeting, held in Vancouver in conjunction with the AIBC Annual Conference. Following the adjournment of the annual meeting, council elected its slate of officers for the 2018/19 council year.  Read more

Voting on Proposed Suite of Administrative Bylaws 2018 Begins May 23

May 2, 2018

On May 1, 2018, AIBC Council approved the proposed suite of Administrative Bylaws 2018 for member vote. This suite of bylaws is organized into four topic areas: Architectural Firms; Admission and Registration; Fees and Fines; and Chapters. Member consultation on the proposed bylaws ran from February 13 2018 until April 19, 2018.  Read more

2 months left until the June 30, 2018 CES deadline

At just under two months left, not all CES Participants have met their Continuing Education System requirements for the 2016-2018 reporting period. The CES reporting period deadline is Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. The requirement to comply with the CES is outlined in AIBC Bylaw 30.2 (PDF). The primary objective of the CES bylaw is to require the professional development of all CES Participants.  Read more
