Retired Architects AIBC are former architects who have resigned their registration as architects in good standing.
Retired Architects AIBC have the right to use the designation Retired Architect AIBC after their names. Retired Architects AIBC maintain a valuable association with the AIBC by way of receiving all AIBC regular mailings and are generally eligible to volunteer on AIBC committees. They may also serve as mentors for intern architects and sit as a panelist for the Oral Exam.
Retired Architects AIBC are required to comply with the Professional Governance Act, AIBC Bylaws, and the AIBC’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Please note that there is not a retired status for architectural technologists or intern architects.
